What an amazing day! At 0830 the first people began to gather for the clothes distribution. All the tables were full and the volunteers in place.
At 0900 we opened the doors and about 350 people flooded in.
Over the course of the day approximately 1000 people received clothing for the winter months thanks to the generosity of Operation Orphan and the kindness of so many people in the U.K. Also the clothes that were stolen the previous night were returned, with the help of a little persuasion from me 🙂 Our God is good! By 4pm it was time to tidy up and prepare for the service at 6pm.
The evening was a wonderful success with about 80 people turning up. Members of the Operation Orphan team ministered through worship songs and testimony and Gerry preached on the need for a personal relationship with Christ.
The response was awesome! People asked for prayer, others asked if we could start a Bible study in their village (15 kilometres from us), some cried and others joined in the worship songs! We are humbled at how amazing our God is. Thank You Lord!
One personal highlight for me, was a former student of Kathys who volunteered to translate for the testimony time. We gave her a dual language (English/Hungarian) Bible as a gift and she was so excited that she asked all of us to write on the inside cover. Please pray for Nikki to come to know the Lord! Also please pray that we would be able to deepen relationships with the people of Táp and the surrounding villages.
