Matthew 25:35-36 says: ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ We have recently had the privilege of doing just that. According to statistics taken from 2012. there are 450-500 homeless people living in Győr. About 270 live in homeless shelters, the others are out on the streets even in the harshest weather conditions. That is around 200 people… We can not solve the world’s problems at once but we can all do something. And we do not have to do it alone. The members of the local Baptist Church cook a meal every Wednesday throughout the winter months for the homeless. We were able to team up with them to provide a meal for all that came. It was such a blessing to be a part of it. We are giving thanks to God who provides all our needs and more. We are thankful to our friends from all over the world who support our work here in Hungary. We thank you for supporting us in the past and in the future. Our hope and prayer is to continue working for God’s glory. The menu was Hungarian Goulash soup with bread.
